I had a pretty good weekend and the rest of the week is looking pretty good too. I made my goal and got an invite to a soccer team. I finally realized it’d been sent to the address I don’t check often (oops). Beyond that Rock Band 3 is out tomorrow, and I cooked pad thai for dinner last night (yay expanding horizons).
So the story. When I was 18, I weighed 190-200 lbs. Kinda heavy could lose ten or fifteen and be in great shape. Went to college and pretty much sat on my ass. Four years in, I’d put on nearly 70 pounds. Left Tech and went to LSU then got a job at DEQ and I put on another 80 pounds. For those keeping track I put on 150 lbs in 12 years. At 30 I started to workout off and on and changed my diet. I lost 20 lbs that first year and I’m almost afraid to ask what I looked like at 29 >_<.
I turned 31 and apparently my metabolism decides to finally get in gear. It's October and I'm now back under 300 pounds. Lost 30 pounds and I'm currently losing weight faster than I put it on in college. I no longer hate pictures of me and at some point I need to shanghai a photographer to take new pictures of me.
As to the pad thai, I think I did okay on my first attempt. Definitely too sweet and maybe too much tamarind paste. Need to find palm sugar that might help get the sweet under control. Gonna have to practice again soon. ^_^
